Well, it is two weeks and a half since my surgery, and I guess I can say I survived. :) The good news is that the pain decreased by about 75% on Monday when they pulled the staples and "tension straps"! The bad news is that, tho I was warned by my doctor of flares after, the thing that decided to flare was my Restless Leg Syndrome, which I haven't actually had for a few years, and it also includes my arms. So my sleep is not... restful, it is hard to fall asleep when you feel like you have to move so desperately. Plus when I do sleep, I dream of walking and walking and walking and wake up with aching legs and arms!
I did, however, attempt some beadroom time today! I only made it about twenty minutes, but it was fun.
I made birthday cards for my niece who turns 17 next month.
This one my mom picked. I used my new Amuse set for the Happy 17th birthday part. It is one of their clear sets. The ink beaded a bit, but I didn't have the energy to clean/use the eraser/ etc. I did that part first then added the flower to fill up more space. I didn't really have a plan. :)
This was the second card. I was getting tired, so I grabbed some animal print from my DCWV Safari stack. Thought it looked teenager-ish. :)
Have a happy Easter. I am hosting the niblings and siblings for a big egg hunt on Saturday. Lucky I still have narcotics left... then I will have to wean off them I think....

I love your blog! I am loving the Hoaw are EWE card you made! I am your latest follower! I can't wait to see what else you create! Also, saw the post about your surgery, and hope all is well. P.S. I love your disclaimer about how this is your opinion and can't be used to sue anyone! It's sad that has to be said, though!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your crafty-ness!
